For the second consecutive year, Blue Diamond Resorts’ properties participated in  Global Wellness Day, a one-day, not-for-profit social project for participants to question how we can live a healthier and better life while raising awareness towards living well.

This year, the resorts in Mexico, Saint Lucia, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic joined this social project in efforts to recognize the value of our lives, be free from everyday stress, and  increase our motivation about living well through a series of activities that included both guests and staff members.

The day kicked off with beach cleaning activities where staff and guests wore magenta t-shirts that identify this social project. Later, the whole resorts’ dynamic was around wellness. The entertainment team organized beach and pool yoga sessions; spa rituals were given in public areas for people to stop and relax, meditation sessions took place all around the properties, and the food and beverage areas offered healthy options.

Although wellness and healthy options are always available at Blue Diamond Resorts’ properties, the objective of Global Wellness Day  is to raise awareness about living well while increasing  motivation to do it for the rest of the year.

The initiative was started in 2012 by the Global Wellness Day Organization in Istanbul Turkey under the leadership of Belgin Aksoy. The social project is now endorsed in 180 countries through appointed ambassadors collectively impacting millions of people around the world. The strong philosophy of living well has crossed borders and given the project a universal identity, “one day, can change your whole life!” The events held within the scope of Global Wellness Day are free of charge and open to the public.
